We canoed 20 miles down the Delaware River and camped overnight on an island in the river. We had heavy rains on our trip down on Friday night and stayed in a lodge at BSA Camp Turrell in Cuddebackville, N.J. The weather was perfect on Saturday and we paddled 14 miles from Eshback Access to Tocks Island. We carried all of our equipment in the canoes and camped that night on Tocks Island. The next morning we paddled 6 miles and pulled out at Kittatinny Access in the Water Gap. The river cuts through the Appalachian Mountains and the views were awesome.
