Troop 126 is focused on teaching Scouts leadership through experience. All outings and meetings are planned by the Scouts and led by the senior patrol leader. With guidance and support of our adult leaders, the troop participates in a range of activities that includes hiking, canoeing, biking, skiing, backpacking, camping, and cooking. Campfires are also part of every outing.
If you are looking for lots of fun and adventure while learning how to work as a close-knit team, Troop 126 is the place for you.
Scouts BSA is a very different experience than Cub Scouts, in that the Scouts lead the troop, with a 10:1 ratio of Scouts to adults. No Scouting experience is required to join, so if you are a boy in middle or high school and are interested in Scouting, stop by any of our meetings and check us out.

Meetings
We meet every Tuesday night (except for the first Tuesday of each month) from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, usually at the Franklin VFW. Meetings are held throughout the school year, and although we have a few activities over the summer, we don’t have regular meetings if school is not in session (including holidays and weather cancellations).
