Last weekend Richie (SPL) and Chris (ASPL) welcomed 6 new scouts into the troop at the Pack 92 Blue & Gold Dinner. The boys from Pack 92 are the first to join the troop this Spring and began working on their Scout rank requirements at the meeting Tuesday night. Welcome!
Merit Badge University is finally here. All of the boys in the troop should already have their class assignments. This Saturday will be the first of 3 days of classes with the other two being March 12 and 26. Everyone should be in Full Class A uniform and be prepared to take notes while in class. I am sure everyone will have a great time.
There will be no troop meeting this Tuesday because of the school break. The next meeting will be Tuesday, March 8th.

Last week we went downhill skiing at Crotched Mountain in New Hampshire. We skied on the lighted slopes until late into the evening and continued the next day. The troop has all skill levels of skiers from beginners to experts and everyone had a great time.
We just got back from a great weekend of camping in the snow and participating in the Seven Rivers District’s Klondike Derby. The boys had a great time building out the campsite in the snow, complete with circular snow seating around the fire pit and a Quinzee (snow shelter) to store our water in to keep it from freezing. We had good time at the Rock Spot climbing gym. We spent the night in the gym and climbed for several hours. While we were there 12 boys completed most of the requirements for the climbing merit badge and we all did a lot of climbing.
