We had a great weekend at West Hill Dam with perfect weather. The meandering of the West river made the canoeing a challenge but all of the boys did a great job steering. The water seemed a little low and we discovered why. After a few hours of canoing upstream we reached a huge beaver dam (about 3 ft high) which meant it was time to head back.
