Scouts BSA Troop 126, Franklin, Massachusetts

On October 25th, the troop went to Rocky Woods Reservation in Medfield to have a cook-off with each other’s patrols. There was never a winner announced, but everyone had a great time together. We also went on a hike during that trip as well, which was really fun.

On September 28th, the troop took a ferry to Lovells Island in Boston. We discovered lot of cool things there, like a bunker inside of a hill. We played a lot of games there like capture the flag, which was a favorite. We also roamed the beach to try to find anything cool there. On top of that, there was a beautiful sunset at night that we got a perfect view of. Overall, it was a really fun trip with a lot of fun memories.

On June 21st, we took a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. During our time there we hung out by the beach having a great time and soaking up the sun. It was really warm there and the water was great. The sights were beautiful too, and we got to see an amazing sunset by the beach. It was an amazing trip and there were lots of fun memories there.

On June 1st, 2019, we had our annual Tenderfoot Weekend. This trip is the perfect opportunity for new scouts to learn valuable skills that will help them throughout their scouting career, as well as helping them achieve their Tenderfoot rank. It also gives older scouts an opportunity to show off some of their leadership skills when helping the new scouts.

On May 17 of 2019, we had our bike trip in Cape Cod. The troop biked a total of 40 miles on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. We started in Camp Greenough and stopped at a beach for a well needed break, before biking back to the site. We then came home on May 19.

On April 26, 2019, the troop took a trip to the West Point United States Military Academy in New York. In the week they were there, they learned a lot about what it is like to go to a military academy. They even had a few competitions using some of the skills that they learned. Despite lousy weather and getting knee-deep in mud, the troop remained cheerful throughout the week and had a lot of fun.
